The Lingang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone is located south of the Dazhi River and east of the Jinhui Port in Shanghai (including Xiaoyangshan Island and the area south of Shanghai Pudong International Airport), with a total area of 873 square kilometers. Currently, the urban housing land in the special area is about 9 square kilometers, the urban housing construction scale is about 11.89 million square meters, and the number of housing units is about 117,000 (excluding public rental housing and old private houses).
